Whose the Freeloader?

A recent talking point from Mitt Romney and other reactionaries is that the more than one-half of Americans who voted for President Obama feel entitled to being taken care of by the government. In reality, it’s the investor class that seems to feel entitled to being taken care of by working people, who actually create the wealth being siphoned off by stock holders.
The financial sector pretends it can create wealth out of thin air and then seems to feel entitled to be taken care of by the government when its house of cards crumbles.
The Mitt Romneys of the world should earn their money the old-fashioned way: by providing useful goods and services. That’s opposed to getting rich through Wall Street’s smoke and mirrors and then blaming their victims for the recession.
