I believe these statements to be true:

We have already located all of the necessary oil, and gas, reserves to destroy our environment. We have enough, already in our possession. We do not need fracking. We do not need to explore in the Arctic or Antarctic. We do not need to do more off shore oil drilling, nor off shore oil and gas exploration. We do not need to add any additional oil and gas pipelines. We, oil companies, already have enough oil and gas in our/their possession to destroy our environment, as we know it. This destruction is not going to happen 25 years, or 50 years, into the future, it is already happening. This destruction is going to get worse. It is going to be expensive to save our environment but we already have the technology in our possession to so. Some might say that it is already too late. Others might even say that this is just a natural cycle of our sun and isn’t our fault. So what! Even if they are right, why would they, why would the rest of us, not do something to do the best we can to turn this around? I believe the best organization in the world, that is in a position to do something about this is,“350.org”. Why wouldn’t everyone, why won’t you, join this group to do what they/you can to slow this destruction down? http://350.org/

Henry Ford understood how silly, how short sighted, it was was that we were mining oil, gas, and coal reserves, that took millions of years to develop in the Earth, and use them up in a matter of decades. Henry Ford was not ahead of his time. The rest of us have taken too much time to catch up with his thinking.

Thomas Edison said: "I think we should put our money on "solar". He was not just ahead of his time. The rest of us have taken too much time to catch up with his thinking.

Check our what climate scientists are predicting the near future:

What evidence is there that this is accurate?

These corporations have not shared their good fortunes with their employees...or their country. What HAVE they been doing with the profits....sucking them off to line only their own pockets. Check this out: http://eskoresident.blogspot.com/
eskoresident.blogspot.com And what HAS the impact been on most everyone in the United States?https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=241307762617157&set=a.241307759283824.57184.241304559284144&type=1&theater
What do you think of the trends in our economy that these two graphs detail for the periods from 1947 to 2008?
Do you see any solutions to these trends that can be taken at the national or state level?
The incredible good fortune for those earning over $500,000 per year mirrors the falling of the chances for most everyone else to be upwardly mobile in social and economic areas?
Why do you suppose that is?
Decades ago, the U.S. led the world in the chances for its citizens to be upwardly mobile - moving from low to middle or middle to high economic levels. Why do you suppose the U.S. has been falling behind in the ability of its citizens to be upwardly mobile and has been passed up by Denmark, Australia, Norway, Finland, Canada, Sweden, Germany and Italy?
Do you see the impact of this data on our children, and their children and basically everyone who has joined the workforce since 1979?
Do you think it is merely a coincidence that the good fortunes of those earning more than $500,000 per year directly mirrors the chances for low and middle level citizens to improve their situation during that same time period?

And what HAVE these corporations been doing with their profits?http://eskoresident.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

Everything you need to know about the power of Corporate Personhood is detailed in these two graphs:

http://eskoresident.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html

WHAT'S UP WITH JOBS AND CORPORATE PROFITS?

United States Corporate Profit Margins Are Higher Than Ever in History!
Corporate profit margins just hit an all-time high. Companies are making more per dollar of sales than they ever have before.
Corporate profits as Percent of GDP

Wages as a percent of the economy are at an all-time low. This is both cause and effect. One reason companies are so profitable is that they're paying employees less than they ever have as a share of GDP. And that, in turn, is one reason the economy is so weak: Those "wages" are other companies' revenue.

In short, our current system, and philosophy, is creating a country of a few winners and 300 million workers who are not sharing in this amazing time in history. The system is working very well for the very few.

You support the Westboro Baptist Church!

The problem is not the recent IRS situation.
The real problem is Citizens United....Corporate Personhood...corporations legal ability to use their money just as you and I can use our "free speech"

The best group working to tackle this head on is:

"I pity the man who wants a coat so cheap that the man or woman who produces the cloth will starve in the process"

Benjamin Harrison - 23rd President (1889-1893)

I pity the society who wants t-shirts made so cheaply that hundreds and thousands must die in the process. When will we start holding Mega-corporations accountable for what they do?

Minnesota House of Representatives have a bill before them to help make mega-corporations more accountable. How will they respond?

Isn't it pretty obvious what is going on in our country?  Doesn't this point to one of the basic problems?  How else can this information be interpreted, except to deny that it is happening or to refuse to accept that it is true, or pretend that graphs are too complicated to read?

Money that is invested in employees in the building of roads, bridges, schools, parks, hospitals, nursing homes, the internet, infrastructure is spent, and re-spent, over, and over, and over +++++++on taxes, cars, homes, appliances, travel but money taken out of the economy by Mega-Corporations is placed in banks in the Cayman Islands, the Netherlands, and Cyprus in order to, legally avoid paying taxes.just sits there!
